WOMB YOGA
Womb Yoga is the therapeutic approach to yoga designed to support women's health. Whether you have a womb or not, experience periods or not, womb yoga is designed to return the body to its innate state of cyclical wisdom and connection.

I discovered Womb Yoga three years into my journey as a yoga teacher. Working hectic hours and experiencing extreme stress I experienced irregular painful periods, PMS and other hormone imbalances. Doctors said I was fine - but I didn't feel fine.

Turning back to my yogic roots I reached for Yoni Shakti by Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, the founder of Womb Yoga. She describes it as "developed to honour and embrace our original blood wisdom...it is both delicious and profoundly nourishing. It is healing and vitalising". I had to know more. On my Womb Yoga training I learnt how to return to the cyclical wisdom of the body, holding space for women at different points in the life's journey; whether that be maiden, mother or crone.

I believe the practise of Womb Yoga is both deeply feminine as it is feminist. It is a space for women to reclaim their innate wisdom that is not understood in the patriarchal society we live in and to learn how to listen to and communicate the needs of their own bodies.
I hold workshops and women's circles designed to educate and nourish. We cover the seasons of the female cycle, how to rest the body through the practise of Yoga Nidra and how to embrace our natural rhythms. It is also a safe space to talk about other topics in women's health, whether that be fertility, birth, menopause or how to have a planet friendly period!
